Cary Driving Academy operates this website. This policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you visit the website, contact us through its links, or start an online purchase. It covers this website and its checkout records; separate notices or requirements may apply to student records collected during enrollment, instruction, or testing.

Information we collect

• Contact information: Your first name, last name, and email address when you submit the checkout form. If you contact us by email or phone, we receive the information you choose to provide.
• Order and payment records: Selected services, quantities, prices, totals, order references, checkout and payment status, and transaction dates. A checkout attempt may create a record even if you do not complete payment.
• Technical information: Our hosting and delivery providers receive information needed to serve and protect the website, such as your IP address, requested pages, browser information, and request times.
• Usage information: Website analytics measure page visits, referral sources, approximate location, and browser or device type. We do not send checkout names, email addresses, or order details to analytics.

Please do not send card numbers, permit images, or other sensitive documents through ordinary email.

How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, create checkout sessions, confirm payments, administer purchases, handle service questions and refunds, keep transaction records, prevent misuse, troubleshoot problems, and understand how visitors use the website. Payments and payment notifications

Card details are entered on a payment provider’s hosted checkout page. This website does not collect or store full card numbers or card security codes. The payment provider receives the information needed to process your transaction and handles information under its own privacy notice, available through checkout.

We retain an order record and receive payment status and transaction references. After a verified payment, an email delivery provider sends the academy a notification containing your name, email address, purchased services, total, and payment references. That notification does not contain card numbers.

When information is shared

Information is available to the academy and providers that support the website and purchases. These include website hosting, database and security providers; payment processors; email delivery and mailbox providers; analytics providers; and font delivery providers. They receive information relevant to their functions. Payment and other external providers may also process information for their own legal, security, or operational purposes under their privacy notices.

We may disclose information when required by law or legal process, or when necessary to address fraud, protect safety, or establish or defend legal rights. We do not sell information collected through this website or share it for targeted advertising across other websites.

Browser storage, analytics, and fonts

Your cart uses local storage in your browser to remember service selections and quantities between visits. It does not store your checkout name, email address, or card details. Cart selections remain until you remove them or clear this website’s browser data. Clearing browser data does not delete order records already submitted to us. Blocking local storage can prevent the cart from working properly.

Our analytics do not use cookies or persistent visitor identifiers to track you across websites. Network information, including an IP address, is processed to produce traffic statistics and approximate location; raw IP addresses are not stored by the analytics service. Our website does not change its behavior in response to a browser’s Do Not Track signal.

Fonts load from an external font delivery provider, which receives your IP address and browser request information to deliver them. External checkout pages may use their own cookies or storage, as described in their notices.

Retention and security

Order records and payment notification records are stored in our website database, and delivered notifications are stored in the academy’s email system. Retention depends on the record’s purpose, service administration, accounting and legal obligations, and any unresolved dispute. Contact us to ask about a specific record or request deletion; records may need to be retained to meet those obligations.

The website uses encrypted connections and access controls for its order systems. No website, email service, or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can browse without submitting checkout information and can call us to discuss service or payment options. Required checkout details are necessary to start an online purchase. Browser controls can clear cart storage, and browser tools can block analytics or external resources.

Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you provided. Depending on applicable law, you may have additional privacy rights. We may need to verify your identity before responding and may retain information where required or permitted by law. We will explain any limitation that applies to your request. Do not include card numbers or sensitive identity documents in your initial request.

Children and teen students

Our services are intended for eligible teen and adult drivers. This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information online. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate. Parents and guardians can contact us with questions about a teen student’s information.

Links to maps, driver licensing resources, and other external websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. This policy does not govern those services. Review their notices before submitting information.
